by Rejigit Shout Outs

It was a stroke of luck to discover a delightful retail shop in Dunedin which sells only Turkish made product and Rejigit thought it worthy of a “Shout Out”.

Selim Bas, Turkish New Zealander & Proprietor

All products are imported directly from Turkey from various Turkish artisan groups and includes hand painted ceramic plates and bowls, Turkish kilim rugs, hand crafted mosaic lamps and light fittings and many other items.

All of the pieces exhibit fine craftsmanship in their hand crafted detail which might only otherwise be found in back street bazaars of Turkey.

It was pointed out to Rejigit that the majority of Turkish ceramics invariably include a tulip motif, the origins of which date back to when the Netherlands had influence in Turkey.

Turkish Delights also welcomes interest from buyers at a wholesale level.

Turkish Delights can be found at 67 Princes Street, Dunedin, New Zealand and the shop is open seven days.
