The Ducati Monster range are horny looking machines.

The Ducati Monster range is available in three models. The base model Monster "1200" @ US$13,995, the street racer “1200 S” @ US$16,395 and the track bike “1200 R” @ US$18,695.

The base model "1200" provides 135 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and 87 pound-feet at 7,250 rpm. The “S” model 145 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and a total of 91.8 pound-feet at 7,250 rpm and the “R” model 160 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 97 pound-feet at 7,750 rpm.

3-spoke Y wheels are forged in alloy and then machined. The front mudguard in carbon fibre and footpeg supports in forged aluminium contribute to a total dry weight of only 180 kg.

On the “R” version the engine is a 1200 cm3 11° DS twin-cylinder Testastretta.

Öhlins suspension and shocks are fully adjustable and the Brembo braking system has two radially mounted Monobloc M50 callipers acting on two 330mm discs up front.

Top speed is an estimated 257 kph and a riding range of 240 km with fuel consumption an estimated 7.1 litres per 100 km.
