UK designer Lee Broom co-operated with glassware brand Nude to create a Christmas tree of glass for British restaurant Aqua Shard, located on the 31st floor of the Shard Building designed by Renzo Piano, the Italian architect and engineer building whose architectural designs also include the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. Aqua Shard serves modern english food overseen by General Manager John Wiltshire and Head Chef Anthony Garlando.
The Christmas tree of Glass is a unique and contemporary Christmas tree comprising two hundred and fourty five hand blown glass LED pendant lights floating in formation with the overall structure standing at just under 9 m (30 ft) in height and the glass formation measuring nearly 5.8m (19 ft).
