A modern version of a historic chair design.

HIERVE-DISEÑERÍA SA DE CV is an award winning, multi disciplinary design studio based in Mexico City and with a presence in London.

This is Hierve’s WW Chair and its simplicity and clean lines are most appealing.

WW stands for Windsor and Wire, which alludes to its form and materials. It is a hybrid piece which provides a contemporary twist to a very traditional design.

The legs and seat are inspired by the classic lines of a Windsor Chair with the surface of the seat slightly shaped for comfort. Shafts of 5mm powder coated wire extend up from below the seat and fan out before joining the wooden backrest giving the chair a sculptural quality and sense of lightness.
