This new 2016 shoe range was designed by a small shoe workshop in Japan. Various materials are draped over the heel section leaving the heel visible behind the material. The covering material is designed to provide sufficient tolerance in order that it appears to move slightly when walking. Differences in elasticity between shoe leather and the covering materials presented a challenge in the shoe design and manufacture.
