Henry O.Studley (1838 – 1925) was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. He worked as an organ and piano maker between 1890 and 1920 during which time he designed and built this ingenious dovetailed tool cabinet.

The chest measures 102cm x 51cm when closed (102cm ×102cm when open) and contains two hundred & eighteen tools within a skilfully crafted mahogany, rosewood, walnut, ebony, ivory and mother of pearl cabinet. Sections of the cabinet swing out to allow access to a second or third layer of tools and the impressive unit weights 32.7kg when empty and 70.8kg including tools.
